The Collaborative Life Sciences Building (CLSB) -OHSU

The TRUST course will be located in the Collaborative Life Sciences Building (CLSB) of Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU).

Situated in the heart of downtown Portland, the CLSB is a next-generation health and science education and research facility built as a joint effort between Portland State University, Oregon State University and OHSU to train learners in teamwork, communication, and clinical skills.

This state-of-the-art facility will be put to good use by the TRUST course, with a large multifunctional space supported by a high resolution audio and video system providing the optimal learning environment for large group didactic sessions, small group activities and demonstrations.

The facility has hotels and restaurants nearby and is easily accessible by bus, tram, streetcar and there is MAX train transportation from the airport.

Getting to the CLSB

Public transportation


Portland’s streetcar Portland’s streetcar stops at the corner of S.W. Moody and S.W. Meade, which is across the street and just south of the Collaborative Life Sciences Building. Patients and visitors may ride a TriMet bus downtown and transfer to the Portland streetcar. The closest streetcar stop to the downtown transit mall is at S.W. 5th and Market. The streetcar accommodates bikes and wheelchairs.

MAX and Bus

The South Waterfront/SW Moody Ave. Station on the MAX Orange Line is located right outside the Collaborative Life Sciences Building. MAX Orange Line trains run every 15 minutes most of the day, and can accommodate bikes and wheelchairs. There are also a number of bus routes that serve the South Waterfront.

Driving and Parking

The Schnitzer lot (Map Ref F1 and F2)

An OHSU 3 Diamond Parking area, you may pay $10 per day to park there (first come, first served basis) if you do not have an OHSU 3 Diamond Parking sticker.

Parking is free during the weekend.

The CLSB lot (Map Ref F3)

Located under the Collaborative Life Sciences Building parking is charged at a rate of $4 per hour or a maximum of $22 per day.
